Jessie's hens is family run, My Great-Great-Great Grandfather first began selling hens and eggs, around 1830 from the now Romsey area of Cambridge, to friends, and eventually had customers from all over Cambridge and surrounding villages. This Tradition was continued by both his son and Grandson's in the Abbey area of Cambridge up to my Grandfathers death.
I continued with keeping hens ,but had a break of about two years around the 2006-2008.
And was shocked when I started again, that the quality was not good, and prices were high. So Jessie's was born, and our ideals shine through, Good quality, low prices, honest advice and answers. Profit is always low on priorities, with hens welfare and customer service firmly in our priorities.
We are very proud of our reputation for first class customer service, before and after sales service we believe is second to none.
Our hens are health and death guaranteed against illness for seven days from purchase, in the unlikely event of a problem.
New hen keepers are very welcome, and we will gladly answer any questions you may have. As you may be starting to realize, the hens welfare is utmost importance to us.
